PRODUCTION ON THE SECOND LINE FOR nanoERGIS FILMS INAUGURATED
The ERGIS Group, the leader in plastics processing in Central and Eastern Europe, has duly accomplished the start-up of its second production line for nanoERGIS films at its plant in Oława. The quality of the film received a positive opinion from the research laboratory of the Group - ELSA (Ergis Load Stability Academy) as well as from clients. Attained parameters correspond to the prior assumptions and a few hundred tons of film produced during the start-up has already been delivered to the clients.
The investment expenses reached approximately PLN 18 million. The line has been delivered by the German company Windmoeller & Hoelscher KG.
We are very satisfied with the process of launching of the new line. Also the quality of the film meets all the requirements of our research laboratory. Introducing the film from the new line into the market is proceeding as planned – said Tadeusz Nowicki, the President of the Management Board of ERGIS-EUROFILMS.
The decision to buy additional production line, combining the latest global solutions, confirms our consequence in constant developing our products. It is one of the key elements of our competitive superiority – added Tadeusz Nowicki.
NanoERGIS film, which will be produced on the new line at Oława plant, is distinguished by unique technical attributes – its parameters allow to achieve load stability which would require considerably greater amount of material if traditional films or films produced based on conventional multilayer structures were used. It brings nanoErgis film users measurable savings (up to 50% on weight) but also provides significant environmental profits – considerably less waste is brought into the market after the film is used.
The ERGIS Group is the leader in plastics processing in Central and Eastern Europe. It has six production sites, four of which are located in Poland and remaining two in Germany. The Group specializes in production of food packaging (films and barrier laminates based on PVC and PET, printed multilayer laminates) as well as industrial packaging (LLDPE stretch films and PET strapping bands). Moreover, ERGIS is a manufacturer of films used for pharmaceutical packaging, hydro-insulating films and PVC compounds. In 2013 the Group’s income exceeded PLN 673 million.
